Learn how to become a Firewise USA neighborhood in Lake Tahoe Basin at workshop

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Join the Tahoe Resource Conservation District (TRCD) for an informative and free Firewise USA Workshop where you'll learn essential tips on how to navigate the Firewise application process. All Lake Tahoe community members are encouraged to attend, especially those who want to become Firewise recognized and learn more.

It will take place on Thursday, September 19 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the South Tahoe Public Utility District Board Room, 1275 Meadow Crest Drive, South Lake Tahoe.

The workshop will include a 20-30-minute presentation with interactive components from the TRCD which coordinates the Firewise USA program within the Lake Tahoe Basin.

Breakout sessions will take place so that participants can exchange information and navigate the Firewise application process with local fire personnel and current Firewise leaders. This is an important community workshop aiming to strengthen neighborhood wildfire preparedness.
