Spooky Storybook Contest at the South Lake Tahoe Library

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Lake Tahoe Library is looking for kids who want to write their spooky picture book! Enter it into the contest at the library by September 28.

Six winning books will be selected, printed on posters, and displayed at the library in October. Winning authors will receive a small prize and a copy of their poster.

Every book will be featured in the Spooky-brary— materializing at the library during spooky season!

The solemn rules of the Library Monster Committee are as follows:
1) Contest only for humans under the age of 18! Books must be written, illustrated and made by them!
2) Only books appropriate for humans ages 5-8 make it into the Contest and the Spooky-brary!
3) Entered books must be 4 pages or less and 8.5"x11" or smaller!
4) No blood or people getting hurt! Monsters love humans! (Scaring humans is okay, though. We love that too!)
5) Books for the contest must be given to the library by Saturday, September 28th, 2024! (Books turned in later can still be in the Spooky-brary!)
