Guess the first day of snow and win while supporting Sierra State Parks Foundation

The Sierra State Parks Foundation will host a virtual fundraiser that challenges folks to predict the first day of snow, which will run until the actual first day of snow. The first snow event will be determined when it snows one inch at the Pioneer Monument located in Donner Memorial State Park (Truckee, Calif.).

Each bet is a $5 donation that will support the Sierra State Parks Foundation’s (SSPF) mission to preserve and protect the local California State Parks in the Lake Tahoe-Donner area. The winner will receive a prize bag made up of a SSPF Lake Tahoe Backpack, Emerald Bay Vikingsholm Puzzle, Lake Tahoe Water Bottle, and Sugar Pine Point State Park Bucket Hat. The ticket link to place a bet can be found on the Sierra State Parks Foundation’s website on the Events Page or the Foundation’s Facebook page.
