El Dorado and Placer community foundations open Mosquito Fire relief funds

Both the El Dorado Community Foundation and the Placer Community Foundation have created Mosquito Fire Relief funds for those impacted by the fire currently burning in both counties. Each fund is collecting financial donations to aid those in need due to evacuation expenses, job impacts, and loss of homes.

The Placer Community Foundation (PCF) Mosquito Fire Relief Fund is actively collecting donations that will provide direct support to Placer County affected and to the recovery efforts. The Foundation works with local public officials to identify areas where philanthropy can have the greatest impact. In past fire events, such as the River Fire in 2021, dollars went to assist with needs such as food, clothing, long-term rental assistance or hotel stays, and much more. The El Dorado Community Foundation's Mosquito Fire Relief Fund is now open. All donations will go to support El Dorado County residents who have been and will be impacted by this fire. All donations to this fund will be unrestricted as this is a constantly evolving situation.
