Honoring Beverly “Bev” Etter at gathering at Sierra House Elementary

The community of South Lake Tahoe lost a wonderful teacher and friend in Beverly "Bev" Etter, who passed away on March 10, 2024. Bev was a longtime member of Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church.
Bev was a full-time teacher for 32 years, teaching in Weaverville, Corning, Chico, and South Lake Tahoe. Upon retirement, her passion for teaching brought her back and she substitute taught for an additional 22 years in South Lake Tahoe. In the total of 54 years, Bev taught, loved, and made a difference in the lives of over ten thousand children.
To honor her years of teaching, the community is invited to a gathering on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 5 p.m. at Sierra House Elementary School, 1709 Remington Trail, South Lake Tahoe. Everyone is welcome to join together to honor her via the installation of a memorial bench and through sharing stories and memories of her impact on our lives.
A service had been held in June in Cohasset, Calif., so this is a time to honor Bev locally. In lieu of flowers, the family had asked for donations to create a memorial bench in her honor at Sierra House Elementary.
