Legacy of the "father of snow surveying" at next Talks at Tahoe

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. - The University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe is hosting another Talks at Tahoe on September 21. Dr. Carlos Ramirez-Reyes will be talking about the legacy of James E. Church’s snow science research.

James E. Church is known as the father of snow surveying, and his techniques are still in use today.

As the weather cools and winter approaches, join them for an interactive lecture and exhibit exploring the life and legacy of James E. Church, the father of snow science.

Talks start at 6 p.m. with a hosted reception to follow where guests can continue the conversation with the evening’s speaker. It will be held at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe's Prim Library, 999 Tahoe Blvd, Incline Village.
