DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - At approximately 9:50 a.m. on September 26, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) received an anonymous report of a 14-year-old Douglas High School (DHS) student who made verbal threats in class about coming to school and carrying out a shooting.
The DCSO deputies assigned to DHS, along with school administration, contacted the student. As a result of the investigation, the student was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility for making terroristic threats.
DCSO says this appears to be an isolated incident, and no other threats to DHS or any other Douglas County schools have been identified.
