The newest multi-use trail connecting Lake Tahoe Blvd and Highway 50 will officially open with a dedication ceremony at 3 p.m. on October 14.
District Five County Supervisor Sue Novasel, the communities of South Lake Tahoe and Meyers and the Transportation Division of the County of El Dorado's Community Development Agency invite all interested parties to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the final connection of the Class 1 bicycle and multi-use path network connecting the communities of Meyers and South Lake Tahoe.
The newest 1.3 mile stretch of the Class 1 bicycle and multi-use path was designed and constructed by the Transportation Division using funding provided by several different agencies on easements from the California State Parks and the California Tahoe Conservancy.
The ceremony will be on Sawmill Road near the intersection at Echo View Drive in South Lake Tahoe, California.
