Desolation Hotel hosting Spookytacular Tahoe Halloween; $100,000 goal for Caldor Fire victims/firefighters

Event Date:
October 31, 2021 - 3:00pm

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Even though construction is not yet completed, the new Desolation Hotel is hosting a Halloween charity event from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on October 31 at the job site,

Desolation Hotel's Spookytacular Tahoe Halloween Event will benefit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and El Dorado Community Foundation's Caldor Fire Fund. The charity event is a family-friendly Halloween festival with trick-or-treating, carnival games, raffles, haunted house, music, food and drinks. Costumes are optional but encouraged.

The new hotel, owned by the same company that owns Wylder Hotel Hope Valley (formerly known as Sorenson's), is being built at the site of the old Tahoe Villa Motel at 933 Poplar Street in South Lake Tahoe.

They are giving $50,000 to be split evenly between the Firefighters Fund and the Caldor Fire victims fund. Desolation will then host the Halloween event and accept donations from the general public and hopefully match the $50,000 already donated and raise a total of $100,000 for the two charities.

Donations are now being accepted HERE.

Desolation Hotel and Maggie’s Restaurant & Bar along with the event sponsors, Sierra Sustainable Builders, STUDIOETTE, Untethered, and Wylder Hotel Hope Valley look forward to seeing you for some spooky fun and games and thank you for supporting Wildland Firefighter Foundation and El Dorado Community Foundation's Caldor Fire Fund.
