3rd annual Witch Paddle on Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Saturday, October 5 is the 3rd annual Witch Paddle off the shore of South Lake Tahoe at the Beach Retreat & Lodge. Last year, 400 "witches" participated in the event on over 150 boards and kayaks, and organizers hope to make it bigger this year.

SCHEDULE

1 p.m. - Meet and greet and grab a drink! Blow up your paddles and eat a treat!

Women, men, children, and pets are all invited to participate (dogs must be on leash).

Beach Retreat and Lodge is the location. Please do not park in their hotel parking but beach parking or Safeway across the street. Use the crosswalk when crossing and consider dropping off your board/kayak first! The Tiki Bar will be open during the event.

Bring your own board or more if you’d like to share. Wear a witch costume even if it’s basic!

"We are trying to keep it only paddle boards but understand some people are not physically able," said organizer Kelsey Adams. "If that’s the case bring a kayak! We do want people to be able to participate! If you’d like to dress up and join people on the beach that would be fantastic support!!! Thank you."

There will also be people taking photos and filming so please be aware of this if it makes you uncomfortable please do not attend. Please make sure to abide by local laws and have life jackets present and on children.
