Chautauqua at Valhalla - William Mulholland, the despot of the Eastern Sierra

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Valhalla Tahoe is presenting a free Chautauqua performance of the father of the Los Angeles Aqueduct and the despot of the Eastern Sierra, William Mulholland, on Thursday, October 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Local author and historian David Woodruff assumes the character of this infamous personality, who brought a great mountain river 233 miles away so the City of Angels could grow into one of the greatest metropolises of the world, and left a rural agrarian community in ruins. Corruption, greed, lawlessness, and chicanery - the California Water Wars at their most extreme.
