South Tahoe High Homecoming Parade goes through town

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - An assortment of decorated floats and vehicles, a drum corps, dance and cheer teams, and other walkers joined the South Tahoe High Homecoming Parade through town on Friday. The theme of this year's parade was "Disney."

As is the new tradition, elementary schools and the middle school each participated as well. Alumni and the South Lake Tahoe community were invited to join South Tahoe High students, staff, faculty, school board members, and LTUSD Superintendent Cutler.

The parade capped off a week of themed spirit days and led up to the evening's football games. The Vikings played North Valleys, with varsity losing the game 34-7, and junior varsity losing 26-14.

Homecoming activities continued to Saturday with an estimated 800 people attending the annual dance.
