South Lake Tahoe forecast: Sunny and warm days, cool nights

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Starting Monday, temperatures will increase as high pressure starts to build along the West Coast, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. Highs will jump back into the upper 70s and low 80s across western Nevada over the next few days, with 60s and low 70s in the Sierra. The pattern remains zonal over the Pacific Northwest, bringing warming temperatures to our area.

Ridge remains in place through the week and into next weekend, with above normal temperatures and dry conditions. Chilly mornings will continue as well. A brush-by cold front will move through the region late next Wednesday into Thursday, bringing a few degrees of cooling and a slight increase of wind. No real signs of any significant precipitation for the next two weeks.

Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 34. West wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the evening.

Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 77. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 37. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight.

Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
