Between Horses and Humans hold Galloping Gala and Barn Dance

Event Date:
October 22, 2022 - 3:00pm

Between Horses and Humans has announced the return of its popular annual fundraiser, the Galloping Gala, and for 2022 they have added a Barn Dance. This will be held on October 22, 2022, from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Maddi's Friesian Ranch, 310 Allerman Lane, Gardnerville. Part of the event includes dancing lessons from Reno’s Miss Behavin Honeys who were recently featured on Country Music Television.

Food will be provided by Bella Vita Catering.

Between Horses and Humans is a local non-profit offering equine-based healing for children and youth facing major life challenges. Between Horses and Humans provides a welcoming, non-judgmental place for children and youth to set aside the labels and challenges of their everyday lives, giving them a unique opportunity to connect with their own authentic and capable selves, as they learn to handle and care for the horses. Children in the program learn leadership and life skills through horsemanship. Serving youth from the Carson Valley and South Lake Tahoe areas, this program is referred by area school teachers, counselors, and therapists, as well as referrals from the local community who have seen the difference that making a connection with our fabulous equines can make.

Between Horses and Humans was unable to hold live fundraising events during COVID-19 and they are excited to resume their annual in-person gala. This FUN-raiser will be generously hosted by Maddi's Friesian Ranch in Gardnerville, where the organization is based.

Tickets cost $100 per person or $900 for a table of 10 and can be purchased at BHHevents.org

What you’ll get: A lovely catered dinner and drinks, a chance to meet some Friesian horses, enticing raffle prizes, a silent auction for fantastic trips, and new this year is music and line dancing with a demonstration and instruction from local group the Misbehavin’ Ladies.
