The following is a Letter to the Editor from Ellen Palazzo, candidate for South Tahoe City Clerk.
My name is Ellen Palazzo. I am an experienced Certified Municipal Clerk with 22 years of service in the City Clerk’s office. I am currently working towards my Master Municipal Clerk designation. With new city leadership coming on board, it will be essential to elect a City Clerk with the highest integrity and intuitional knowledge to help move our city forward. I have the heart to serve the city and the community in a respectful manner.
Some of my accomplishments include:
- Wrote the first ever Records Management Policy and comprehensively revised the Records Retention Schedules in Spring 2018.
- Implemented the current live web streaming seen on the city website which is also programmed to Channel 21
- Implemented and designed the archival document management system in 2002 and converted archival microfilm records into electronic format within the current document management system.
- Set up the first City Clerk, City Council and City Commission webpages and continued to improve them.
As your next City Clerk, I will continue to improve upon public access 24/7 to the city’s legislative history as part of my continuing outreach to the community.
A full list of my accomplishments and goals can be found on my website www.ellenpalazzo4sltcityclerk.com.
I respectfully ask for your vote on November 6th.
- Ellen Palazzo
