Minden man arrested after monthslong drug investigation

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - A months-long investigation into drug activity in Douglas County has resulted in the arrest of a Minden, Nevada man.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team (DCSET) served a search warrant at the Esther Way home of Robert Wilson. Inside they found almost $10,000 in cash, five pounds of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 21 firearms and a marijuana THC extraction lab with approximately seven pounds of a marijuana extract.

During the monthslong investigation, DCSET and members of the Tri-Net Task Force conducted several narcotic purchases from Wilson, ranging from Psilocybin Mushrooms to approximately 38 grams of methamphetamine. Based on the narcotic transactions a search warrant was obtained for Wilson’s residence resulting in the seizure of drugs, guns and money. The street value of the Psilocybin Mushrooms alone is approximately $14,000.

Wilson was booked into the Douglas County Sheriff's Department Jail in Minden and charged with multiple felony drug trafficking charges. Wilson’s bail is set at $250,000.

This follows the arrest in September 2019 of four Minden residents after a three-month-long narcotics investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine by DCSET.
