Meyers Area Plan presentation at TRPA meeting

Event Date:
October 25, 2017 - 11:30am

A new Meyers Area Plan has been created to replace the 1993 Meyers Community Plan, and it will be presented to the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) Regional Plan Implementation Committee meeting on Wednesday, October 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the TRPA offices at 128 Market Street in Stateline, Nev.

This new plan will serve as the comprehensive land use and zoning plan for the community of Meyers, consistent with the Lake Tahoe Regional Plan and the El Dorado County General Plan. This Plan updates 20-year old policies to streamline permitting, improves consistency between El Dorado County and TRPA policies and standards, conserves land around the Upper Truckee River, formalizes a local citizens advisory council, and integrates design standards and guidelines.

Brendan Ferry, Principal Planner for El Dorado County Community Development Services will the presenter. It is an information item on the agenda only and no votes will be taken.

The Final Draft of the Meyers Area Plan was September 6 along with the associated joint environmental document. It was circulated for 30 days and got public comment. It can be viewed here: https://edcgov.us/Government/Meyers.
