Premiere of Ark, a new film about 11 snowboarding friends, to be in Tahoe City

ARK is a new snowboard film created by a group of eleven friends and pro snowboarders including Danny Davis, Brock Crouch, Elena Hight, and more. It’s a story about friendships built in the mountains through their love of snowboarding. The never-ending journey of getting clips from BC to Japan, Austria to Alaska made for an unforgettable season.

ARK will be premiering at the Art Haus Cinema in Tahoe City on November 9 at 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Davis, Crouch, Nick Russell, and Mikey Ciccarelli will be at the Tahoe screening to introduce the movie. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased HERE.They are located at 475 N. Lake Blvd.

One of the snowboarding stars, Elena Hight, was raised in South Lake Tahoe and is a two-time Olympian, X Games Gold Medalist, Seven-time X Games Medalist, and was the first female to land a frontside 900 in competition at 13 years old. Elena was also the first snowboarder to land a double backside alley-oop rodeo in a halfpipe contest at the 2013 Winter X Games.

ARK will be also premiering at other select stops in the U.S. and Canada starting October 27. Besides Tahoe, premiere locations include Burlington, Vermont, Santa Monica, Calif., Denver, Colo., Laguna Beach, Calif., Park City, Utah, and Whistler, BC.
