Halloween events around South Lake Tahoe and Stateline

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With Halloween on a Monday, there are several holiday events for all ages this weekend, as well as on October 31.

Saturday

HOPPY HALLOWEEN - Halloween: the time of year when children dress up and get candy sugar highs while adults dress up and enjoy their own libations. On Saturday, October 29th, Lake Tahoe AleWorX (at the Y) will support both of those missions for families and friends with the Hoppy Halloween celebration! Live music from Noon – 6:00 pm, activities for the kiddos and all of your community peeps in one place!

BLOOD BALL - Grab your best ghoulish getup, superhero tights or witch’s hat and creep on over to Lake Tahoe’s killer event of the season, Blood Ball, presented by Lake Tahoe’s Bloom at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe. Eat, drink and be scary with chilling drink specials, hair-raising music by DJ Sn1 and a $15,000 costume contest. The first-place winner receives $2,500 cash, second-place winner takes home $1,500 cash and third-place winner takes home $500 cash. Upon entry, guests will receive a raffle ticket to win prizes worth over $10,000! Registration and costume contest judging is from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. on Oct. 29 in the center of the casino floor. The top 3 costume contest winners will be notified at 11:15 p.m. and announced at Blood Ball at 11:30 p.m. Guests wishing to participate in the costume contest must be present at registration/judging.

FREAKERS BALL - Get a little wicked this Halloween. Lake Tahoe’s Bally’s Resort presents the Annual Freakers Ball Halloween Party on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Lake Tahoe’s Largest & Longest Running Halloween Bash $10,000 Costume Contest. Two parties. Blu Nightclub only or Opal and Blu Nightclubs. Must be 21+. Doors open at 9:00 pm. There is no better place to mix and mingle with the creatures of the night. With two parties under one roof, fun-seekers can experience unique Halloween celebrations at Bally’s Lake Tahoe Blu & Opal Nightclubs. $10,000 Costume Contest. SUNDAY

SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN - Spooktacular Halloween at Zephyr Point is a family-friendly evening benefiting Zephyr Point's Youth Camps. It will be held on Sunday, October 30 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a haunted house, trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, bounce house, face painting, costume contests, hay rides, and more. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The cost is $5 per person with a $20 parking fee. All activities are free once in.

MONDAY

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL - Kahle Community Center is having a Halloween Carnival on 10/31/22 from 4:00-6:30 pm. It will be at the Kahle Community Center gym. I have attached a flyer for the event. Let me know if you need more information.

HEAVENLY VILLAGE TRICK OR TREAT - Stroll through the Heavenly Village for a FREE & SAFE trick or treat for kids on Halloween, October 31 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Heavenly Village businesses and local organizations will be handing out loads of candy for the kids, plus bounce houses, slides, and a $1000 costume contest on the main stage. For the moms - Dress to Impress on the Witches Walk from store to store. Live music too.

TRUNK OR TREAT - Hope Lutheran Church of South Lake Tahoe is holding Trunk or Treat on Halloween, October 31 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the church, 930 Julie Lane. Enjoy apple cider, goodies, and lots of fun. Meet police officers and firefighters and capture the moment in the ghoulish photo booth.

TRUNK OR TREAT - Join the Tahoe Community Church on Daggett Way (off Kingsbury Grade) on Halloween as they host Trunk or Treat from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kids and families will enjoy candy, games, prizes, food, and more!

HALLOWEEN BASH AND COSTUME CONTEST AT THE LOFT - The Loft Lounge is holding the 6th Annual Halloween Bash and Costume Contest, Monday, October 31, 2022, in the Heavenly Village featuring DJ/Producer Groove Cartel (Cary White, former drummer for the band Infected Mushroom). The Loft transforms into the Village’s only Ultra Lounge, and on Halloween Night, all the freaks will be out. The “Haunted Loft” will have decorations, party favors, and DJ spinning dance music from 10pm until 2:00am. In addition to the party, The Loft will be giving away over $1,000 in prizes for the top three costumes that night, including dinners, drinks, bottle service, show tickets and more! The restaurant/bar opens at 5pm for dinner and cocktails, drink specials all night and music for the party will start at 9:00 PM.
