Tahoe casinos "win" figure $29 million in September

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,270,598,215 for the month of September 2023, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board's monthly report released Tuesday. This amounts to a 1.69 percent increase compared to the same month a year ago when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,249,470,5411. For the fiscal year, so far, the gaming win has increased by 2.91 percent with $3,883,670,986 in "win".

The "gaming win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

For Lake Tahoe's south shore, the "win" revenue was $26,344,334, down 5.66 percent from September 2022's $27,924,389. For their fiscal year, revenue win was down by 6.61 percent when compared to the previous period. The South Shore fiscal year win to date is $83,798,823.

On the south shore, $4,986,000 came from table games and $21,359,000 from slots.

Carson Valley area casinos reported an $11,908,433 gaming win, up 0.56 percent. On the North Shore, the reported gaming win of $2,608,280 was down 10.51 percent.

Casinos in Reno, Sparks, and other areas of Washoe County saw gaming-related revenue decrease from last year collectively by 6.62 percent with a "win" of $91,675,972.

Las Vegas casinos had a "win" of $1,090,371,298, up 2.79 percent over the same month last year.

For the fiscal year to date, Nevada has collected $333,420,735 in percentage fees.
