Bread & Broth's Thanksgiving dinner still a "go" even with planned power outage

With the announcement that Liberty is working on the area of South Lake Tahoe where St. Theresa Church is located, Bread and Broth wants the community to know its annual Thanksgiving Dinner will still take place.

The planned power outage may affect the church, but Bread and Broth will have a generator in place so they can provide dinner to the expected 200 people attending.

Once Bread and Broth became aware of the situation they started working with

a local electrical company to procure a generator to power Grace Hall where the dinner is prepared and served. The non-profit wanted to make sure the special dinner would be ready, and it will!

The volunteers will be serving turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, rolls, and pie. Dinner guests will also be given a bag of food to take home that includes dairy products, fresh produce, bread, pastries, meat, and canned goods.

The Thanksgiving dinner will be served on Monday, November 20 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at St. Theresa Church's Grace Hall at 1041 Lyons Avenue, South Lake Tahoe
