Two new storms headed to Lake Tahoe next week

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After the Thanksgiving rain and snow, the Lake Tahoe region is drying out through Monday, but new storms are expected on Tuesday and Thursday. The break in the weather has some lighter winds and mild temperatures, time to finish up those pre-winter chores.

Next week is looking to be an active weather week with multiple rounds of rain and snow in the Sierra and Western Nevada. The storms will be progressively colder with lowering snow levels, possibly to the valley floor by next weekend according to the National Weather Service in Reno.

Tuesday's storm will bring wind, valley rain and some mountain snow and there will be little to no break before Thursday's storm hits the Sierra, bringing with it colder temperatures and more mountain snow.
