Wylder Hope Valley history series continues with Chautauqua presentation about Donner Party

Wylder Resort Hope Valley continues its Eastern Sierra history series with a Chautauqua-style presentation, “Those that Survived” on Sunday, December 4 at 1 p.m. Local authors and historians David and Gayle Woodruff take on the characters of Donner Party survivors, James and Margret Reed as they recount the gripping tale, of the courageous and heroic efforts of themselves and others, who saved the lives of 45 destitute soles.

The 50-minute program is free and open to the public and will be presented inside the Resort’s heated tent. Wylder’s Resort will be featuring a lunch special during the program.
