New HR director at Hard Rock brings years of local experience

Jan Garcia has been hired as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe’s director of human resources.

Prior to joining the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe, Garcia served as human resources manager for Edgewood Companies. She has fourteen years of experience in the gaming industry, having served as regional director of human resources for Herbst Gaming, Inc., and director of human resources for both Caesars Lake Tahoe and the Reno Hilton.

“Our business would be nothing without our incredible employees,” said Jon Park, co-owner of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe. “Jan brings with her a wealth of experience, and she understands our industry. We are thrilled to have her lead the HR department.”

Her major focus with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be on employee programs and services to keep the property competitive in recruiting and retaining employees. Additional areas of focus are strategic planning through management of human resources and ensuring compliance with state and federal employment regulations.
