Kudos: Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe hosts Bread and Broth Monday Meal

Sponsoring their first Adopt A Day of Nourishment as the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Hotel and Casino, members of the Golden Nugget staff joined the Bread & Broth volunteers to serve the Monday Meal on November 13. Providing great service comes naturally to the Golden Nugget Adopt A Day (AAD) crew members and they brought their “A” game to see that the dinner guests enjoyed themselves at the evening meal.
Representing the Golden Nugget were Kelly Crossgrove, HR Director; Debby Puettman, HR Manager; Lizzette Rodriguez, Sales Coordinator; Keyla Trejo, HR Specialist, and Raquel Gonzalez and Nahomy Vazquez, children of Golden Nugget team members. Throughout the dinner service, the Golden Nugget AAD crew members were enthusiastic and happy to be involved in their sponsorship meal. In addition to setting up for the meal service, the Golden Nugget crew welcomed the evening’s dinner guests as they dished out the evening dinner fare of beef stroganoff, sweet potatoes, and a Greek Spring salad. They also assisted the Bread & Broth volunteers at the dessert table and with drying the meal’s dishes, pots, and pans.
As the Golden Nugget crew began the final meal cleanup tasks, Debby Puettman summed up the teams’ thoughts regarding their experience of providing a hot, full-course meal and bags of food to take home. “Doing good not only feels good, it leads to more good,” she exclaimed.
Just the week before their November sponsorship dinner, the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe helped Bread & Broth by providing the rolls and utensils for the community Thanksgiving meal that fed over 220 dinner guests on Monday, November 20. Bread & Broth always appreciates the willingness of the casino to lend their services and support to Bread & Broth with our special events like our annual Thanksgiving meal, fundraising events, and Adopt A Day of Nourishment sponsorships.
