Sealed With A Kiss in South Lake Tahoe gives back to the community

In true holiday spirit, Sealed With A Kiss (SWAK) of South Lake Tahoe continued their annual tradition of giving away new clothing and accessories to the women and children of Live Violence Free and Sierra Foster Families.

Each year, during Tahoe Douglas Rotary's Christmas Party for local families, SWAK owner Jana Walker Spano and her team bring racks full of clothing, make-up and accessories to the event. Each mother from Live Violence Free than gets to pick items from the racks. SWAK also gave children toys and clothing this year as well.

The Rotary Club added to the party by inviting parents and children of Sierra Foster Families, so a whole new group got to enjoy the holiday spirit. There were over 180 people in attendance at the event which is held every year at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel.

Throughout the month of November and December, Sealed With A Kiss did a denim fundraiser inside their store located at the Heavenly Village. For every pair of denim tried on, SWAK donated $1 to the Rotary event and for every pair purchased, they donated $5. To date, $1,000 has been raised through this program in the store. On top of that, when each employee is hired they pick a local charity or organization to raise money for throughout the year.

"Our Sealed With a Kiss stylists enjoyed working with the community and seeing the eyes of the children light up was a moment they will cherish forever," said Spano. "We are so blessed to have such a great group of girls representing the brand at our Lake Tahoe boutique."
