SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A new company has launched to meet the community needs of COVID-19 testing with workplace testing and overnight results. Test Well today announced the launch of its purpose-built lab in South Lake Tahoe that will not only lower the cost but provides increased accuracy of test results.

The Test Well team, composed of industry experts and local personnel, will prioritize the testing of frontline and essential workers at scale. Starting Monday, December 21, 2020, Lake Tahoe area employers will have access to quick and affordable testing for their employees.

“After watching this pandemic unfold over the past nine months, I expected testing availability to be far more widespread by this time” said co-founder Charles Boldwyn. “We decided that we couldn’t stand by any longer waiting for others to fill the need. We had to do something.”

The quick return of results collected from simple saliva samples combined with industry leading real-time quantitative PCR technology give Test Well a unique advantage over other forms of testing. By simplifying the collection process and an ability to detect the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus with far lower thresholds than any “rapid” test currently available, Test Well can identify asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic individuals who are thought to be the most
significant contributors to community spread of COVID-19. Now, employers don’t have to choose between far less accurate rapid testing and typically slower RNA detection methods.

Health experts, the Center for Disease Control, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration all agree that a multi-layered approach that includes testing, regularly checking symptoms, wearing masks, distancing and personal hygiene are the greatest inhibitors to spreading COVID-19.

In the next few days, Test Well will be launching Home for the Holidays for the public to be able to get quick and accurate results prior to a holiday visit with loved ones.

In the coming weeks they will be offering Individual testing with fast and accurate certified results.
