Every Monday at St. Theresa Church’s Grace Hall, the Bread & Broth cooks use their well honed culinary skills to prepare nutritious and tasty meals enjoyed by our very grateful dinner guests. These wonderful meals are made possible by the funding provided by B&B’s “Adopt A Day of Nourishment (AAD)” sponsors. On September 21, 2015, the hosting AAD sponsor was Riva Grill on the Lake. In addition to donating $250, Riva Gill sent a sponsor crew who brought their dining skills to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the evening’s guests.

Experience Basecamp Hotel’s new bar and outdoor area at the Tahoe Chamber Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM!) on Thursday, June 25. Attendees have the opportunity to check out the recent expansion that includes outdoor fire pits and event spaces while networking with fellow South Shore professionals. The BAHM! begins at 5:30 pm.

The date was February 17, 1955. The City of South Lake Tahoe had yet to be incorporated (that happened ten years later). Bill Harrah has just purchased George's Getaway Club for $500,000 and Chris Kuraisa purchased Bijou Ski Area for $1,950 and moved lift operations up the hill and renamed it Heavenly Valley. The number one song was "Sincerely" by the McGuire Sisters.

February 17, 1955 was also the day that the original Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce was incorporated.

Tahoe Chamber thanks the community for supporting local food banks at the Annual BAHM! for Charity at Riva Grill on Thursday, January 15. Over 100 people attended and together we raised $3,650 for charities Christmas Cheer All Year and Bread and Broth. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the turnout and the amount of donations we received. We’d like to thank Riva Grill for hosting the event and providing the generous spread.

Despite the power outages and high winds in the South Shore, the Marriott Grand Residence Club was warm and cozy (with power!) on Thursday night, which made it the perfect first stop for TahoeChamber’s annual Winter Wine Walk Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM!). Nearly 100 guests began their tours at the Marriott Grand Residence Club with a taste from Crystal Basin Cellars before embarking on a tour to participating businesses. Each shop welcomed attendees with food, drinks and raffle prizes. It was a fun, blustery night that included great food, wine and friends.

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce is holding a holiday wine walk for their December After Hours Mixer. On Thursday, December 11, both members and non-members will get a passport and move from store to store at the Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe.

There will be El Dorado County wine as well as food at participating locations.

If participants find they have had too much to drink, free rides are being offered by Yellow Cab for all BAHM passport holders.

Send off summer the best way possible – on the lake! Join TahoeChamber for a paddle on Lake Tahoe followed by a Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM!) at South Tahoe Standup Paddle on September 18. The BAHM! begins with a one-hour stand up paddle board session at El Dorado Beach from 4:30 to 5:30 pm followed by appetizers and drinks until 7:30 pm at the South Tahoe Standup Paddle retail location.

Join us for summer fun at Beach Retreat & Lodge at Tahoe for our August Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM!). As always, there will be food, drinks and raffle prizes. Additionally, there will be beach games so be ready to get competitive as you battle it out with fellow South Shore professionals!

TahoeChamber raised a total of $3,500 for the charities during the Annual BAHM! for Charity at Riva Grill in January.

The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce is holding their annual Winter Wine Walk BAHM on Thursday, December 12 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Shops at Heavenly Village.

The walk starts at the Marriott Grand Residence where participants will receive a passport with a list of all businesses participating, a wristband, wine glass and raffle tickets. Participating businesses will then stamp the passport and pour a taste of El Dorado County wines as well as showcasing their store. Free ice skating voucher good for the whole evening.

TahoeChamber’s last Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM!) of the summer will take place on Wednesday, September 18, from 5:30-7:30pm at Picchetti Winery.

BAHMs are a great way to meet other professionals in the community in a fun and relaxed atmosphere – in this case, Picchetti Winery’s outdoor garden area located at 3135 Harrison Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.

TahoeChamber’s next Business After Hours Mixer (BAHM!) will be held this Wednesday, from 5:30-7:30pm at Lakeside Inn & Casino. The Poker Run BAHM will send you on a tour of the casino property and give you a chance to see the newly renovated “Timbers” restaurant. Try out a featured signature cocktail and delicious food, get a Lakeside Inn Player’s Card, check out the guest rooms, and mix and mingle with fellow business professionals.

Tourism is a constantly evolving industry. Each year, the TahoeChamber and the Lake Tahoe Visitor’s Authority strive to keep our business community up to date on developing trends by hosting an Annual Tourism Forum.

This year’s forum is scheduled for April 18, 3:30-6pm in the Cabaret Theater at Harveys. Building off of last year’s presentations on local demographics, the 2013 Trends in Tourism Forum will cover the international guest along with service philosophies and what these culturally sophisticated visitors expect and demand.

Have you finished your holiday shopping yet, or have you even started? The Annual Winter Wine Walk BAHM! on Dec. 6 from 5:30-8:30 pm, in The Shops at Heavenly Village is the perfect opportunity to support local businesses while checking items off of your holiday list. Free parking vouchers will be offered to all BAHM! attendees and tickets are just $10 for chamber members or $20 for prospective members.

The TahoeChamber Business After Hours Mixers (BAHMs) are a great way to meet new people and build business relationships. Please join us at Lakeside Beach Grill on Wednesday August 8th, from 5:30-7:30pm for the last BAHM!

The community is invited to the upcoming Mothers’ Day Makeover BAHM; this Thursday May 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tallac Historic Site. There will be live music, a fashion show by Sidestreet Boutique, appetizers from Harrah’s & Harveys Catering, wine tasting provided by Crystal Basin Cellars & BellaGrace Vineyards, and a cash bar set up by Raising the Bar Beverage Catering.
