Blue Ribbon Awards winners announced during virtual awards show

The winners of the 13th annual Blue Ribbon Awards were announced Thursday, November 19 during an awards show shown on Lake Tahoe Television. In place of the annual awards dinner the community was invited to tune in virtually with hosts Chris Fiore from the City of South Lake Tahoe and Meg Peart from the Tahoe Resource Conservation District. The community is invited to attend the Tahoe Chamber’s 13th Annual Blue Ribbon Awards to honor South Shore businesses and individuals that have impacted the community for the better. In place of the annual awards dinner, winners will be announced in an awards show that is pre-filmed and broadcast on Lake Tahoe Television on November 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Those wishing to attend the free event can register in advance on TahoeChamber.org to get direct access to the awards ceremony.

The Tahoe Chamber collected 190 nominations from the community for the 13th annual Blue Ribbon Award to celebrate the businesses, non-profits and individuals that make the South Shore of Lake Tahoe so unique. Local businesses have been a resilient backbone of the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and honoring their contributions, achievements and milestones is more important than ever before.

Leadership Lake Tahoe is a ten-month-long course held every two years on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. It began in 2003 with a mission to identify and develop current and future leaders through a comprehensive program designed to increase knowledge and awareness of the issues and challenges facing our community. At the beginning, the program was sponsored by the Tahoe Douglas Chamber and South Lake Tahoe Chamber, they merged a few years later and became the Tahoe Chamber (or Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce).

2nd annual Santa Fun Run on Ski Run to raise funds for SOS Outreach

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Jolly your way to the tippy-top of Ski Run Boulevard in your best, most festive Kris Kringle outfit on Sunday, December 15. This fun-filled jaunt from the Black Bear Lodge all the way up to the bar at Himmel Haus will benefit the local nonprofit, SOS Outreach.
Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase at the start and finish. A procession with city officer support will leave Black Bear Lodge at 3:30 p.m. A fun and lucrative raffle drawing will be during the after-party at Himmel Haus.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Celebrate creativity along Ski Run Boulevard on Sunday, June 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the inaugural Tahoe ArtFest.
The Tahoe Arts Alliance is bringing the event to South Lake Tahoe with visual and performing arts, films, chalk art, and a Battle of the Bands, all in one day.
Entrance to the festival though drink passports can be purchased.

December 5, 2018 - 4:00pm Come join the fun at Black Bear Lodge in South Lake Tahoe when Santa and Mrs. Claus make the scene for a festive afternoon of cookies and crafts on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. All ages are welcome with a variety of options taking place!
A suggested donation of $5 per child will go directly to SOS Outreach's youth programs. They have an office in South Lake Tahoe, on Harrison Avenue where they "help kids gear up for life!" For more information on this terrific organization please visit their website at www.sosoutreach.org .
