Reno-Tahoe Airport says "no" to Trump rally planned for private hangar

The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority has informed private airport hangar tenants who were planning to host a campaign rally for President Donald Trump on Saturday that the 5,000-person gathering would be in violation of their lease agreements due to Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak’s directive of no gatherings in excess of 50 people and Washoe County’s recommendation to limit the number to 25 or less.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - New figures have been released by the El Dorado County Elections Department.
As of 11:38 p.m. Tuesday, all 198 of the precincts have been counted with 52,093 ballots of the 124,979 registered voters, or 41.68 percent.
Measures affecting the County portions of the South Shore, Measure B and Measure M are not meeting the required 2/3 vote to pass at this time.
The results as of 11:38 p.m. Tuesday:
Measure B, the Lake Valley Fire Protection District tax - 2/3 vote needed to pass
There are 5,917 registered voters
Yes - 1,203 - 58.60%

The People's Climate Change March in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday, April 29 will bring together families and community members concerned with protection of climate and the environment, beginning at Lakeview Commons at 10:00 a.m.
From the Commons, marchers will head over to Bijou Park for the local Earth Day celebration where presentations will take place.
McClintock hosts another raucous town hall in El Dorado Hills

More than 1,700 people turned out Saturday morning at an El Dorado Hills high school to once again let Republican Rep. Tom McClintock know how they feel about GOP policies and his support of President Donald Trump.
Like three other town halls McClintock has hosted in the past month, the majority of attendees were angry and spoke vehemently about recent changes in immigration law, the proposed repeal of the Affordable Care Act and civil rights issues.

The Women’s March on Washington DC on January 21, 2017 is slated to be a historic demonstration of human beings who believe in equality and social justice for all. Although titled “women’s march” the march is for EVERYONE who cares about human rights. Human rights are women’s rights. This event will go down in history because it has turned into a march of global proportion with sister events being held in communities across the country and the world.

Donald Trump and the almost 900 attendees at Friday night's fundraising dinner at Harrah's Tahoe most likely didn't see or hear the protesters outside, but passing cars and pedestrians sure did.
A small group of protesters started standing on the corner of Stateline Avenue and Lake Tahoe Blvd at 5:00 p.m., waiving signs and chanting anti-Trump sentiments. Honks and clapping greeted the group outside, while those inside paid $200 to $500 a person to attend the 2016 Battle Ground Dinner, sponsored by the Nevada Republican Party.

Donald Trump is headed to the South Shore for a fundraising event, the 2016 Battle Ground Dinner, sponsored by the Nevada Republican Party.
The presidential hopeful will be in the Sand Harbor Ballroom at Harrah's Tahoe on Friday, August 26.
Cocktails are set for 6:00 PM with dinner at 7:00 PM.
Seating is limited. Tickets are available online with VIP tables at $5,000, general admission at $200.
