March 6, 2020 (All day) SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif, - The Cystic Fibrosis Lifestyle Foundation (CFLF) is hosting its inaugural STROLO Tahoe CF Winterfest event on the slopes at Heavenly Mountain Resort in South Lake Tahoe March 6-8, 2020.
CFLF help people with cystic fibrosis live STROnger and LOnger (STROLO).

November 21, 2019 (All day) Great Food, Good Drinks, Raffle and Live Music: Brews, Bites & the Birches at the Great Basin Brewing Company Taps & Tanks! A fundraiser to support the work of Nevada Legal Services. Join us for a fun night featuring live music from The Birches! We will also hold a silent auction and raffle drawing during the evening with raffle tickets available for purchase. The event begins at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, at the Great Basin Brewing Company Taps & Tanks. Tickets are $30 and proceeds go to Nevada Legal Services, a non-profit legal services organization serving Nevadans across the state.

July 2, 2017 - 9:00am Right now there are 1.25 million people, in America alone, balancing their own chance at life with Type 1 Diabetes every day—I am one of them. There are two types of diabetes, Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease where a person’s pancreas stops doing its job and producing insulin. Insulin is a hormone that converts food into energy. Without insulin humans cannot survive. Type 2 Diabetes is a different condition where a person’s body still produces insulin, but the body is not making use of the insulin, also known as insulin resistance.
