Happy Thanksgiving from South Tahoe Now

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The turkeys are in the ovens, barbecues or deep fryers. The side dishes are being prepared, pies are baked and many are waiting for friends or family to arrive. The football game is on, the Macy's parade is over and maybe you have a chance to sit down and get your feet up.

Today is Thanksgiving, the annual day of giving thanks, celebrating a holiday and enjoying friends and family. The gathered group differs from home to home.

With gratitude, our Thanksgiving message

This is the fourth time I am able to say "Happy Thanksgiving" to the readers of South Tahoe Now. I took on this news endeavor in the summer of 2013 and have tried to create something that everyone can read and, hopefully, appreciate on a daily basis. I want to share as much as I can about what is happening in South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding communities, and I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for your support and allowing me to continue to share.

Happy Thanksgiving

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow. ~Melody Beattie

Happy Thanksgiving to our readers, their families, friends and loved ones.

Thank you South Lake Tahoe

Happy Thanksgiving. You've no doubt heard or read these words a few times already today.

Thank you readers. You've made this year so special for me. When I started in July of 2013 I wasn't sure what was going to happen. Will people read what I spend hours on? Will they find it useful, helpful or thought provoking? Will they even find SouthTahoeNow.com? I appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to even bigger things in the next year.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino updates: Turkeys donated, opening date change, and more

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in South Lake Tahoe may not be opened yet, but they've been busy becoming a part of the community.

On Monday, November 24, their Executive Chef Jonathan Snyder delivered 48 turkeys to Sierra Community Church, who will serve them in their community kitchen and distribute the rest to local families in need for Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We'd like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. This is a time to give thanks for what we have, and we thank you for being a reader. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our South Lake Tahoe news and information with you.

Counting you among our SouthTahoeNow.com family is something for which we are especially grateful.

We wish you a lovely Thanksgiving and a joyous holiday season.

With many thanks,
Your devoted STN team.
