SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - It will be a grand weekend at the Tallac Historic Site as the Valhalla Holiday Faire and Winter Wanderland help everyone get into the holiday spirit November 22-24.

The three-day holiday celebration includes 30 local vendors inside the Valhalla Grand Hall with holiday music, treats, pictures, and a Forest of Lights between the Grand Hall and Pope-Baldwin Estates with shopping at the historic site museum.

Emanate Gallery holiday party includes music, wine and art

Emanate Gallery at The Crossing in South Lake Tahoe will be hosting a holiday celebration on Thursday, December 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Meet their talented artists, enjoy holiday music by Carolyn Dolan and enjoy a glass of wine and some tasty appetizers.

Artist Charlotte Castillo will also be at the gallery with a live painting demonstration.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Step back in time at the Lake Tahoe Historical Society's annual Holiday in History event on Saturday, December 15, 2018. This special day has become a family favorite and you don't want to miss it.

All day long the museum and historic cabin will be open for all to enjoy the decorations on display during free tours - doors open at 11:00 a.m. These will also be a Victorian Christmas scene in the museum. The bookstore is open for those on your gift list and a giant snowflake is free with all purchases $25 or over.

Home Ranch for the Holidays at Dangberg Historic Park

Home Ranch for the Holidays, a celebration of the season that includes a vintage toy exhibit, music and treats, returns to Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Saturday-Sunday, December 15-16 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

The exhibit includes toys from the 1870s through the 1890s that were played with by Fred Dangberg and his siblings, as well as numerous toys enjoyed by Fred’s five children and a grandson from 1901 through the 1940s.

Reno Jazz Orchestra presents "A World of Joy"

The spirit of Christmas and Hanukkah come to life as the 18-piece Reno Jazz Orchestra (RJO) presents “A World of Joy” featuring holiday music from the U.S. to Brazil, Puerto Rico, Israel, Russia, Austria and back. Joining the RJO is Pat Ester’s Gospel Choir starring vocalists Pat Esters, Lori Johnson, David Wells, and Caitlin Collins. The Reno Youth Jazz Orchestra will open the show at the Reno performances.

Winterfest concert at Valhalla Boathouse features Oakland Jazz Choir

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The annual Valhalla Winterfest and Holiday Faire returns to the South Shore November 16-18 with shopping Friday through Sunday and a special Saturday concert in the historic Boathouse Theater.

The Winterfest concert with the Oakland Jazz Choir will be on November 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will feature holiday music and other popular selections.

Dream Spirit to make Music at SLT Library

Light Up South Lake Tahoe

A processional of cars followed behind the decked out fire truck (which also had holiday music coming from inside), the decorated Police Commando truck, and some decorated business vehicles. All were greeted at the end by a crowd that watched the lighting of the city tree, Santa and hot cocoa and cookies.
