Sleigh rides, Santa, cookies and fun at Holidays in History in South Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Step back in time at the Lake Tahoe Historical Society's annual Holiday in History event on Saturday, December 15, 2018. This special day has become a family favorite and you don't want to miss it.

All day long the museum and historic cabin will be open for all to enjoy the decorations on display during free tours - doors open at 11:00 a.m. These will also be a Victorian Christmas scene in the museum. The bookstore is open for those on your gift list and a giant snowflake is free with all purchases $25 or over.

Then, at 5:00 p.m., the jolly man in the red suit, Santa Claus, will be joined by Mrs. Santa as they arrive on a sleigh. They will bring everyone into the Senior Center where there will be cookies, hot cocoa and cider for everyone along with singing by the South Tahoe Choral Association (grades 3-12), the Ukulele's of Tahoe with holiday music and free family activities and gift making. Borges Sleigh Rides will be giving everyone free rides, weather permitting, and the South Lake Tahoe Fire Truck arrives at 6:30 p.m.
