Multiple agencies respond to missing child at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe
Submitted by paula on Wed, 06/10/2020 - 3:41pmSTATELINE, Nev. - Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office (DCSO) responded to the Hard Rock Casino in Stateline at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10 after they were called about a missing two-year-old girl.
The child's mother had checked into the hotel on Tuesday with her two teenage sons and her daughter. She left the room at 8:00 a.m. to attend a conference being held at the hotel and left the kids sleeping. When she returned at 10:00 a.m. she found the two teens still asleep but her daughter was missing.

Large amounts of heroin, methamphetamine and approximately 12 firearms were seized in the search. Lynwood Towle, Shawn German, Melissa Griffis, Paul Ryan, and Krystal Long were all arrested, charged, and eventually pleaded guilty to various charges stemming from those searches.
Nearly two dozen arrested in City multi-agency drug sweep

The Carson City SET, with the assistance from multiple agencies to include, the Department of Public Safety Tri Net Narcotics task force, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit and the Reno Police Department Street Enforcement Team conducted the narcotics suppression operation targeting those using and selling narcotics in the Carson City area.
Carson City and Douglas law officers arrest three in connection to recent home burglaries
Submitted by paula on Thu, 01/26/2017 - 2:02pmDetectives from Carson City Sheriff’s Office and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office worked a joint investigation Wednesday involving multiple residential burglaries between the two counties. Three men were arrested as a result of the investigation, a law enforcement captain said.
The investigation, publicly announced earlier Wednesday, led detectives to Dayton where two suspects were located in possession of a large amount of stolen property from several burglaries, said Carson City Sheriff’s Office Capt. Brian Humphrey.
SLEDNET investigation lands seven in jail on drug charges
Submitted by paula on Thu, 08/27/2015 - 3:11pmDrug task force agents investigating the alleged sales and use of illegal narcotics in the South Lake Tahoe city limits arrested seven adults and confiscated drugs and paraphernalia.
Agents from the South Lake El Dorado Narcotic Enforcement Task Team (SLEDNET) served a search warrant at a home located in the 800 block of Tallac Road on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 3:00 p.m.
Inside the home, they found 11 adults, seven of them who claimed to reside at the location.
Pound of meth seized, three arrested in bust that focused on Dayton, Moundhouse
Submitted by paula on Wed, 01/21/2015 - 10:29pmThree have been arrested after a monthlong investigation into methamphetamine trafficking in the Dayton and Moundhouse areas, the Lyon County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday night.
The investigation, which ended Jan. 21, led to the seizure of a pound of methamphetamine, eight firearms, and $4,500 in cash and involved two search warrants in the Dayton and Moundhouse area. Each of the three suspects are being held on $1 million bail.
South Lake Tahoe man arrested after marijuana and heroin found in Nevada County
Submitted by paula on Thu, 11/20/2014 - 9:48pmA 23-year-old man from South Lake Tahoe was arrested after a narcotics task force tackled a large marijuana grow in Nevada County that resulted in the arrests of seven people, officers said.
The Nevada County Sheriff's Office said they served a search warrant at about 11 a.m. Wednesday on Kentucky Flat Road for a man involved in marijuana cultivation.
Officers found 20 people on the property, in addition to marijuana stalks in a large burn pile along with a marijuana scent coming from one of the two buildings on the property, according to officials.

Authorities discover marijuana grow operation in Douglas County foothills near Jacks Valley
Submitted by Editor on Wed, 08/15/2012 - 1:47pmA large marijuana grow area was discovered near Jacks Valley in the Toiyabe National Forest along the eastern foothills, Douglas County authorities said Wednesday.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for three suspects associated with the grow and have warned that the men are hiding in the forest and may emerge at any number of locations in Douglas County, including Glenbrook on the Lake Tahoe side.
