Virtual Paint and Sip and themed Jeopardy during Live Violence Free's "Light the Night Purple"

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Live Violence Free is holding "Light the Night Purple" on October 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as part of their month-long recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

This is a free Facebook Live event that will include a paint and sip session with a live painting instructor, domestic violence themed jeopardy, and a survivor guest speaker who will lead an empowering conversation. The first 25 participants that sign up will be provided with a free bag of painting supplies and a non-alcoholic beverage for the paint and sip portion of the event.

Get creative with wine glasses at Tahoe Valley Elementary Paint and Sip fundraiser

There is a 'Paint and Sip' Fundraiser for the Tahoe Valley Elementary School on Thursday, October 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Participants will be creative and paint outside the canvas....on two wine glasses!

Talented artist Jessica Brown will help people get creative throughout the class, but it isn't a guided art lesson.

"Paint and Sip" customized for Tahoe Valley Elementary students

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Budding Van Goghs, Monets and O'Keeffes are honing their talents in the Tahoe Valley Elementary Library every Wednesday when Lake Tahoe Paint and Sip comes to help them them. Only thing different from the adult version of their unique painting classes is what is sipped.....the students get to sip water.

Live Violence Free Paint and Sip fundraiser

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness month in April, Live Violence Free is holding a fundraiser at Lake Tahoe Paint and Sip on Tuesday, April 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. With the theme color of the month being teal, participants will be creating a teal colored butterfly.

Lake Tahoe Paint and Sip is donating 50 percent of ticket sales back to Live Violence Free.

Swim For Africa was founded in 2010 by the three Carter sisters from South Lake Tahoe to help raise support for children in Athi River, Kenya. Each year, 'Swim For Africa' helps the Athi River children by providing their families with necessary funds for schooling, school supplies, and food. 'Swim For Africa' relies on the donations of others and the comfort that community can bring to fund 7-8 children in school and 3-4 families with food.

Paint & Sip at Hard Rock Cafe to raise money to fight hunger

The Hard Rock Cafe will be hosting two fun evenings that will be full of painting and socializing in the name of childhood hunger.

Paint & Sip at the Hard Rock will benefit WHYHunger.org's "Imagine No Hunger" program. On both November 10 and December 1, participants will learn how to paint a 16' x 20' canvas from a professional artist. All the materials needed will be provided.

The cost is $40 per person. Ticket & select Beer and wine sales will directly benefit WhyHunger. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the Hard Rock Cafe inside Harvey's.

Fun, wine and art part of Soroptimist fundraising event

Twenty members and friends of Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra recently enjoyed an evening of artistic creativity, wine, and fundraising at the Lake Tahoe Paint and Sip Studio located at 900 Ski Run Boulevard. Each month owners Jill and Frank Slipher provide a unique fundraising experience for a different non-profit to host a "FUNdraising" evening. They donate half of the $40/person fee back to the designated non-profit!
