Virtual Paint and Sip and themed Jeopardy during Live Violence Free's "Light the Night Purple"

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Live Violence Free is holding "Light the Night Purple" on October 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as part of their month-long recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

This is a free Facebook Live event that will include a paint and sip session with a live painting instructor, domestic violence themed jeopardy, and a survivor guest speaker who will lead an empowering conversation. The first 25 participants that sign up will be provided with a free bag of painting supplies and a non-alcoholic beverage for the paint and sip portion of the event.

Other events and conversations conducted by Live Violence Free this month are focused on people to coming together in solidarity and promote a violence free community. 

Other events and activities:

LVF’s youth leadership clubs at the middle and high-school will be participating in appropriate healthy relationship campaigns throughout the month, including a domestic violence themed face-mask decorating contest, and “Love Is..” art contest event.  

Live Violence Free now has a new agency podcast titled “One Conversation.”  The podcast will be released this month on their newly revised website. Throughout the month of October they will have several episodes highlighting domestic and intimate partner violence. The updated website also includes information on the #OneConversation campaign centered around domestic violence awareness.
