It certainly reinforces sustainability as the future of tourism here at Tahoe, with benchmarks to embrace including environmental integrity, economic development, and social equity for visitors and locals.
Three dead in plane crash at Reno Tahoe Airport parking lot
Submitted by paula on Sun, 09/11/2016 - 10:08pmReno Tahoe International Airport officials have confirmed the crash of a small aircraft into the long-term parking lot, resulting in the death of three people.
Wreckage can be seen sitting atop a number of cars in the surface lot.
At this time, there does not appear to be any fire at the crash site.

Over 40 top independent films from around the world have been included. Festival executive director, Donna Walden, also stated that some local film entries have been chosen as official selections.
New shuttle service to start between the Carson Valley and Reno

Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) awarded Amador Stage Lines more than $365,000 in federal funds to start the service. The bus line has supplied $143,000 in matching funds according to Michelle Gardner, NDOT transit manager.
South Shore Lake Tahoe prepares for second round of winter season

North Lake Tahoe launches first-ever free ski shuttle

The service runs between area lodging properties to 9 different ski resorts on weekends and holiday weeks now through March 31. It was formed through a collaboration of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association in partnership with the Truckee/North Tahoe Transportation Management Association and Placer County, the town of Truckee and several ski resorts.
Lake Tahoe, Sierra brace for winter storms to arrive as Christmas travel period begins

A Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service is in effect through Monday morning for Lake Tahoe and the Sierra as a strong series of systems moves into the region.
Periods of light to moderate snow will begin Friday and intensive early Saturday morning with moderate to heavy snow Saturday through Sunday night.
