The Lake Tahoe Community College, Foster Kinship Care Education Program would like to invite the community to come together for a Suicide Prevention presentation with Dr. Sonia Rupp, on October 15th, from 6-8 PM, in the Creekside Room at Lake Tahoe Community College.
The presentation is free and open to all.
Suicide is preventable, come gain the tools to make a difference.

Cannabis urgency ordinance continues in South Lake Tahoe

"This is not about making money, its about doing it right," said Mayor Pro Tem Tom Davis during Tuesday's City Council vote on cannabis sales in South Lake Tahoe.
Davis was speaking about their decision to approve an urgency ordinance and to take their time in creating the City's ordinance for legal cannabis sales in South Lake Tahoe. The moratorium will remain in effect for 45 days and expires on January 21, 2018 unless the City Council extends it before then.
31-Day challenge returns to address mental health awareness

Dr. Clint Purvance has announced the addition of three new physicians to the Barton Health team in South Lake Tahoe: Dr. Sherellen Gerhart, Dr. Danielle Priem and Dr. Saul Zelan.
Sherellen Gerhart, MD is Barton Palliative Care's physician. Palliative Care is a new service line created to help patients develop an optimal care plan catered to their individual health and comfort needs once diagnosed with a terminal illness, but not yet ready for hospice; learn more below. Dr. Gerhart is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Palliative and Hospice Medicine, and Geriatric Medicine.
