Jack Wagner returning to Lake Tahoe for American Century Golf Championship

Famed actor and two-time American Century Championship winner Jack Wagner will compete for another victory in Lake Tahoe along with an impressive list of fellow movie and TV personalities adding star power to the field of active professional and retired athletes and Hall of Famers.
Also in the competition from Hollywood this summer are John O’Hurley, Kevin Nealon, Brian Baumgartner, Bruce McGill, Alfonso Ribeiro, Oliver Hudson and Rob Riggle.
Undersea Voyager Project returns to Fallen Leaf Lake to study ancient trees
Submitted by paula on Fri, 10/07/2016 - 10:13pmEarlier this summer, the Undersea Voyager Project, a nonprofit organization located in Napa, California, conducted a series of dives in their 2-man submersible to explore dozens of ancient trees still standing at the bottom of Fallen Leaf Lake. Beginning this weekend, they will continue their mission to document the trees and study one theory of how they got there.

September 17, 2011 (All day) South Shore Lake Tahoe local Sid Loomis continues her work with the Undersea Voyager Project in Catalina on September 17. The 16-year-old was part of the original crew that brought a submersible to Lake Tahoe in May of 2009 to study Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf, as well as projects in Catalina and Bodega Bay in 2010.
On Saturday, Sept. 17 team leader Scott Cassell will scuba dive from Catalina to Cabrillo Aquarium near Long Beach for a study on sharks.
