Help requested in finding missing dog in South Lake Tahoe

A Las Vegas woman who was on vacation on the South Shore last weekend is asking for the public's help in finding her dog Coco, a four-pound chihuahua.

Nicole and her family were staying at Harrah's Tahoe, and while she was up zip lining at Heavenly on July 27, those in charge of Coco's care had her out for a walk. She slipped out of her harness, got scared and took off sprinting through the casino corridor along Highway 50.

Coco crossed the highway at MontBleu and ran down the driveway between the Hard Rock and Harveys.

The mission of the program was to weave family activities that blend adventure and communication workshops into the retreat weekend. The families were nurtured and challenged physically, emotionally and mentally while they worked together and thrived through fun and engaging challenges on the SEA, AIR, and LAND.

With it, comes a wide variety of outdoor recreational opportunities for locals and visitors alike. Epic Discovery will include new zip lines, sky cycle tree canopy tours, a mountain bike park and trails, ropes courses, and interpretive and educational tours to teach visitors about the Lake Tahoe Region’s cultural and environmental resources.

Heavenly's Epic Discovery Project gets closer to reality

Heavenly Mountain Resort added summertime activities to the top of the gondola last summer but that was only the beginning if the Epic Discovery Project gets approval from the necessary agencies.
