Help requested in finding missing dog in South Lake Tahoe

A Las Vegas woman who was on vacation on the South Shore last weekend is asking for the public's help in finding her dog Coco, a four-pound chihuahua.

Nicole and her family were staying at Harrah's Tahoe, and while she was up zip lining at Heavenly on July 27, those in charge of Coco's care had her out for a walk. She slipped out of her harness, got scared and took off sprinting through the casino corridor along Highway 50.

Coco crossed the highway at MontBleu and ran down the driveway between the Hard Rock and Harveys.

The family searched for her all weekend, posted and handed out 250 flyers, posted Coco's picture on facebook, talked to and notified many locals, business owners, casino staff, emailed the flyer to all vets, animal control, and the story was on local television.

Nicole had to return to Las Vegas but is still trying to find Coco.

A local man told Nicole Thursay, August 2 that he saw the dog on Wednesday in the alleyway between MontBleu and CVS.

"The love of my life is alone, scared, hungry and lost for seven days now," said Nicole.

Anyone with information about Coco can call Nicole at 702.353.4059.
