South Tahoe Babe Ruth to host state tournament at Todd Field

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - South Tahoe Babe Ruth has announced they are hosting this year's Babe Ruth State Tournament on June 28 and 29 at Todd Field in South Lake Tahoe.

The tournament features top teams as they take the next step on the journey to the Pacific Southwest Regionals in July.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Live Violence Free is hosting a Pop-Up Thrift Shop on June 29 and 30, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the American Legion parking lot. Discover gently used clothing, household items, and more, all while supporting a great cause! Enjoy delicious food from a variety of food trucks as you shop.

LVF is accepting gently used clothing, household items, electronics, tools, and sports equipment for the event. Donations can be dropped off at the nonprofit's office on June 7/8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif - Tahoe Youth and Family Services (TYFS) cordially invites the community, former board members, staff members, and clients to join them in commemorating 50 years of unwavering support for runaway and homeless youth in South Lake Tahoe. Originally known as Awakening Peace, TYFS was established as one of the 50 national pilot programs under the Federal Runaway and Homeless Youth Legislation Act of 1974. Since then, it has been a beacon of hope, providing shelter, support, and a path to a better future for countless youth.

This new event is an interpretive night tour through the Tallac Historic Site grounds and the Pope House, showing participants a new side of the grounds.

Tallac After Dark explores the broader context of spiritualism while sharing tales of the spirits that seem to linger at the Pope Estate.
