Asparagus Workshop at the SLT Library

This hardy perennial vegetable can become part of an edible landscape, and a mainstay in your garden. Ever consider growing fruits and vegetables in your garden here in Tahoe? Join UCCE Master Gardeners of Lake Tahoe for a workshop to learn how food can be grown at the Lake. Participants receive instruction on cultivation techniques, and history/background on the plants being highlighted. Everyone will leave with free plants for their gardens. These are family friendly workshops, with hands-on opportunities to get acquainted with growing vegetables. Presented by the Friends of the Library. Saturday, May 20th at 10 AM. Free and open to all.
