For some, action and adventure mean outdoor sports, from walking to riding a motorized vehicle, or camping and fishing. For others, the adventure may be a road trip in a rented RV or with a group on a bus. Whether it's reliving an adventure through a book, experiencing new taste sensations, or getting information on a bicycle tour, the First Annual Action Adventure Expo is the place to look for your new adventure.

The event will be held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Gardnerville on Friday, May 16, 2014, and Saturday, May 17, 2014. The doors are open to the public from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday.

Admission is free.

Try Tahoe Tony's Jammin' Jerky or Fran's Killer Salsa while you get information on the next Bike the West Barbecue and Ice Cream Social, or look at the outdoor gear and furnishings Costco has to offer.The Carson Valley Trails Association will be there with information for those who enjoy hiking or walking.
