Ten Dollar Pony in concert at Dangberg Historic Park

Event Date:
August 3, 2017 - 6:30pm

Lake Tahoe area folk rock duo Ten Dollar Pony will perform Americana and Urban Folk music at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park at 6:30 pm on Thursday, August 3.

Ten Dollar Pony’s lively blend of original and cover tunes encompasses many styles of music including folk, pop, blues, and country rock. Whether delivering intimate and heart wrenching ballads with warm harmonies, or raucous blues, their music ranges from sweet to wryly observant, to perversely funny.

Singer-songwriter, Larry Nair has been performing for the last 12 years all around the Tahoe and Reno areas, as well as several western states. A guitar player since childhood, Nair’s musical inspirations include John Hiatt, Bonnie Raitt and Robert Earl Keene.

Vocalist – guitarist, Liza Beth Oliveto has sung in various groups around the Tahoe and Reno areas including local favorite Playa Papaya and Nevada Civic Light Opera Co. Oliveto has also teamed with Minneapolis based troubadour, John Richards. Her influences include Brandi Carlisle, the Bodeans and Casey Chambers.

“This duo is certainly very talented and an excellent match for our venue. We’re very pleased to have them return for a third year,” said the park’s events manager, Kim Harris.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for members and free for 16 and younger.

The park is located at 1450 Hwy 88, ¼ mile north of the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital. This is an outdoor event and visitors should bring their own seating. Dogs are not permitted at this event. More information is at dangberghomeranch.org.

Upcoming concerts at the park are Ciana on August 17 and Todd Morgan and the Emblems on August 31. The full Dangberg Summer Festival schedule can be found on the park’s website.
