Benefit for South Lake Tahoe toddler diagnosed with Leukemia

Event Date:
October 16, 2014 - 6:00pm

A fundraiser has been scheduled for the three year old daughter of a South Lake Tahoe family who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Mackenzie Bogart needs the help of our community as she and her family prepare for the next step in her care.

The Bogarts have been long-time Tahoe skiers and snowboarders. Their four children all compete in the local USASA Snowboard Circuit and are dedicated to providing a recreational outlet for their children.

Mackenzie was diagnosed with Leukemia and now has to go through painful, and expensive blood transfusions. The community has an opportunity to support this young child and her family by joining together for an evening of music, food and fun.

Steamers Bar & Grill in South Lake Tahoe will be hosting a spaghetti dinner to help raise money for the Bogarts. For $8 people can enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner, music by Ike & Martin and Little Town, as well as bid on a number of different silent auction items. This event will take place from 6-10 pm on Wednesday, October 15th.

Everyone is invited!

Guests can donate $8 at http://www.gofundme.com/fj5zoc and get into the event for free. This event is possible because of the support of Steamers Bar & Grill, Sierra-At-Tahoe, USASA, First Tracks Productions, Four Count Concepts, and many other local organizations and businesses coming together. All prizes, time and support were donated and 100% of the proceeds goes to the Bogart family.

Organizers are still accepting silent suction items until the day of the event, so if you would like to donate a gift certificate or item we would be incredibly appreciative. Contact jtchevallier@gmail.com to donate.
