Authorities investigate Incline Village armed robbery

Washoe County authorities are asking for the public's help in solving a Jan. 2 armed robbery at a north shore Lake Tahoe gas station in which a gun shot was fired. No one was injured.

A masked gunman entered the Incline Village Chevron gas station at 8:45 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk and then discharged a silver-colored long barrel revolver inside the store, according to the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Special Operations and Investigations Division. The clerk was not injured and no other patrons were in the store.

The masked gunman fled the Chevron with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was last seen wearing a heavy blue jacket, blue pants and a red bandana over his face.

Meanwhile, the sheriff's office is also asking for the public's help in solving a Jan. 1 burglary at the Incline Village Cinema.

At around 5:30 pm, Jan. 1, a manager at the Incline Village Cinema discovered one of the glass entry doors was smashed in. Deputies arrived and searched the theater. The loss includes an undisclosed amount of money. The theatre was known to be secure the previous evening around 11:30 pm when the manager closed for the night.
