During Tuesday's City Council meeting, Paul Reder of PR Entertainment will make a presentation about the possibility of his company holding one or two concerts a year on the South Lake Tahoe Community play fields.
Reder, the owner of The Loft at Heavenly Village, is also the man behind the Reggae Festival and Electronic Dance Music's (EDM) Bass Camp Festival, both held on the South Shore.
In the past, these festivals have been held outdoors at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe and MontBleu, and now Reder is proposing to hold them on the new Community Fields which are currently home to SnowGlobe, another EDM festival.
"We are hoping to produce Bass Camp Music Festival and perhaps the annual Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival in the new soccer fields," Reder told South Tahoe Now.
According to the 2017 Bass Camp Music Festival website, it will be a week long event starting July 17, the day after the annual American Century Celebrity Golf wraps up at Edgewood.
The agenda item will not be voted on, it is slated to be just a presentation during the Council meeting that starts at 9:00 a.m. on January 17 in the Council Chambers at the airport.
