A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Sunday to 10:00 a.m. Sunday. Heaviest snow from midnight to 8:00 a.m. Sunday. 8 to 14 inches above 7000 feet, 3 to 8 inches at lake level.

Weather - South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 45 and a low tonight of 34. Today: Rain, possibly mixed with snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 45. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tonight: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 7pm. Low around 34. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Heavenly - Groomed. No New Snow in last 24 hours. 100% of their terrain is now open which means 4800 acres, 28 lifts and 97 runs are open. Base depth is 70". Lift status. Snow likely, mainly after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Very windy, with a southwest wind 30 to 40 mph increasing to 40 to 50 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 75 mph. Message from Heavenly: No new snow overnight, but our 5 day snowfall total is 19". Snow is likely again today, mainly after 4:00 pm. Today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 39°. We are expecting strong SW winds and gusts to persist and increase today. So please stay tuned for any updates, as lift operations are likely to be impacted. Mott and Groove chairs will open at 10:00 am. Mini-Tubing will open at 12:00 pm and Tubing will open at 11:00 am. Both are located at the top of the Gondola.

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Groomed/Packed Powder. No new snow. 100% of the terrain is now open. 12 lifts are open. Six snow parks are open. Groomed conditions on 31 of their open 46 runs. Base depth is 58" to 96". Lift status. Snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 41. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 23 to 28 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Kirkwood - Packed Powder. 2" new snow. 100% of the mountain terrain is open with 2300 acres, 13 lifts and 86 runs. 86" base. Lift status. Snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 39.
